Illinois Bicentennial K-12 Education Resources

Illinois Bicentennial K-12 Education Resources

The Illinois State Board of Education in partnership with the Abraham Lincoln Presidential Library and Museum and What on Earth Publications has created a unique K-12 Bicentennial education resource to be offered to all schools across the state. The first-of-its-kind book called Illinois Chronicles captures the unique opportunity of the Bicentennial to teach children about our shared heritage from many perspectives.

ISBE’s Bicentennial webpage, http://www.isbe.net/bicentennial, offers sample activities developed by ISBE staff and teachers related to the book and wallboard. Illinois Chronicles will be offered to all schools statewide in spring of 2018.
