National Conference of the Filipino American National Historical Society (FANHS), scheduled from July 11-14, 2018 at the Hyatt Regency O’Hare Hotel in Rosemont, Illinois. This biennial conference will be attended by thirty-five chapters across the United States, expecting 200+ attendees, and is hosted by the Midwest Chapter (FANHS-Midwest). Presentations will focus on the Filipino American diasporic experience all across the U.S., with many participants from Illinois. As part of the conference, there will be an exhibit during the duration of the 4-day conference at the lobby of the venue, which is free and open to the public. It will showcase the artworks and publications of Illinois artists and authors. Of particular interest is the mural-sized collaborative painting created by Filipino and Filipino American artists, funded by the John D. and Catherine T. MacArthur Foundation which was on exhibit at the Field Museum. The conference will end with an evening gala dinner and entertainment, which requires registration.

Cost of Admission: $Free for exhibit showcasing Filipino Americans in Illinois and America, ongoing for duration of conference. Admission to conference presentations is 70 for the public, substantial discount for seniors and students
