International Student Science Fair 2018

Illinois Math & Science Academy, 1500 Sullivan Rd., Aurora, Illinois

7:45 am - 10:00 pm

The Illinois Mathematics and Science Academy® (IMSA) is honored to host the 14th Annual International Student Science Fair for the first time on American soil June 27-July 1, 2018. The five-day event will highlight three global challenges that transcend national boundaries: water, hunger, and energy. Through the theme, “Significantly influencing life on our planet through cooperation and collaboration,” IMSA strives to deepen its mission as the world’s leading teaching and learning laboratory for the prosperity and security of present and future generations.

Illinois became a state on December 3, 1818, and has a yearlong Bicentennial celebration underway during 2018. ISSF 2018 has been designated a Bicentennial event.

IMSA Fusion has been selected by the Illinois Bicentennial Commission as a Legacy Project.  This allows schools throughout the state to apply for an award which includes 3-years of funding to implement IMSA Fusion during their school day.  A selection committee designated by the Bicentennial Commission will select winners.  Schools serving rural, historically underrepresented, and low-income students are strongly encouraged to apply.

Wintrust and Abbott are the presenting sponsors. Additional funding for this campaign is provided by Boeing, Ingredion and Motorola.
