On August 26, 2018 – the 200th Birthday of the Illinois Constitution – Governor Rauner will lead a motorcycle ride along Historic Route 66.

The ride kicks off at Conrad’s Harley Davidson in Shorewood. Participants will travel along much of Historic Route 66 celebrating the “Mother Road” with stops in Pontiac, Lexington, Lincoln. The ride will culminate at the new Illinois Bicentennial Plaza in Springfield, which is a pedestrian walkway that will link the Abraham Lincoln Home Historic Site with the Illinois Executive Mansion.

Lunch will be available for purchase at the Lexington stop. All registered riders are invited to a free barbeque at the Governor’s Mansion following the Bicentennial Plaza Dedication.

Donations from the ride will be donated to the Chicago Honor Flight Association.
