First Fridays is a celebration of arts and culture for 10 months out of the year in downtown Aurora, IL. At the June 6 event, First Fridays will celebrate Illinois Bicentennial.

First Fridays’ venues will open up with activities, history, and art that incorporate Illinois. The land of Lincoln will come alive in downtown Aurora as the entire downtown holds a birthday party for Illinois. All ages will gather in song and celebration at Millennium Plaza as part of the evening. First Fridays is sponsored by Aurora Downtown, an organization of business and property owners. Up to two dozen venues participate in First Fridays. It is free and open to the public.
