Come Celebrate the Illinois Bicentennial with a lecture from Katie Yurkewicz, Ph.D, Communication Director at Fermilab. She will be talking about Fermilab, America’s particle physics and accelerator laboratory located in Chicago’s western suburbs. Fermilab has been an international hub for research on matter, energy, space, and time for more than 50 years. This talk will give an overview of the lab’s history, its current science and technology program, and a new flagship science experiment under construction with partners from over 30 countries.
