Dragon Boat Race for Literacy has celebrated its 17th anniversary last year & invites over 10,000 attendees on racing day. 30 teams will compete on a time basis. Decorated dragons boats are manned of up to 20 members paddling, including a flag catcher & drummer. The top 2 winnings teams will race for championship. There is a lion dance for the opening ceremony, childrens activities, vendor booths & other performances, all free to the public.

The Chinese dragon boat race has a history dating back over 2,000 years and is a popular sport among Chinese communities throughout the world.
