For a local angle on the Illinois Bicentennial, Nicole Stocker of the Bess Bower Dunn Museum of Lake County will present an overview of Lake County history, from 17th century French voyageurs to our county’s settlement in the 1830s and beyond. This presentation will cover aspects of Lake County’s agriculture, resorts, breweries, manufacturers, motion pictures, religious communities and military installations, to name a few.
