Capital City Chapter Fishing Has No Boundaries 2018 Fishing Event

8:00 am - 5:00 pm


On September 22, 2018, 45 participants with various disabilities and over 100 volunteers will ascend on beautiful Lake Springfield for a day of fishing, friendship and lasting memories. Participants from SPARC, Brother James Court, Mary Bryant home, Bethesda and independent homes as well, will be welcomed to the TRN Club to experience the great Illinois outdoors through fishing.The participants will be joined by pontoon boats owners, experienced fishing guides and volunteers. Participants will be able to go out on Lake Springfield in the morning and afternoon and will have adaptive equipment available to assist them with their big catches! All who attend will receive an event t-shirt and hat, share 3 meals and make memories that will last a lifetime. Awards for the biggest fish along with participation medals will be handed out at a ceremony at the end of the event. At the end of the day it is hard to say who has had a better experience, the participants or the volunteers.
