During the Illinois Bicentennial year, the spirit of celebration is alive in Aledo, Illinois.

The Aledo Rhubarb Festival has been an annual attraction since 1991 making Aledo the “Rhubarb Capitol of Illinois”. The event began as a small gathering of friends and has grown to be a yearly tradition for many. The first Friday and Saturday in June thousands of visitors take in a variety of rhubarb related activities, including concerts, family-friendly activities, vendors, and food. Over 3,000 rhubarb pies are created for the event and 12,000 rhubarb seeds are given away to promote the rhubarb love across the region.
