The forthcoming 35th Chinese New Year Party of Greater Chicago (UNITY-2018) will be held on Saturday, February 17, 2018 at the Chicago Hilton and Towers on Michigan Avenue. The event will have formal UNITY ceremony with cocktail party, sit down dinner, and entertainment program. This year marks the 4716th Chinese Lunar Year of the Dog.

The Chinese New Year Party of Greater Chicago has a long tradition in the Chicago area. It is one of the most significant cultural events for the Chinese American community. Its purpose is to familiarize as much people of the various cultures that make the Greater Chicago; it is a charitable act of continuous education through popular entertainments. This particular event is cosponsored by over ninety Chinese American community organizations, and UNITY is not-for-profit. It traditionally attracts more than thousand attendants. The various organizing subcommittees are comprised of 200 volunteers who are mostly Chinese American community and business leaders.
