St. Patrick’s Day Parade Grand Marshal, 40th Ward Alderman, Patrick O’Connor and Guest of Honor, Justice Anne Burke, Founder of Chicago Special Olympics, 50th Anniversary, both who exemplify “The Irish Bond of Community and Service” ​to Chicago.

Please join us for the debut of the Bicentennial Float, sponsored by Wintrust, in the 2018 Chicago St. Patrick’s Day Parade.

Parade Route: The parade starts at Balbo and Columbus. The parade units will proceed north on Columbus Drive and the viewing stand will be located in front of Buckingham Fountain. The Parade ends on Columbus and Monroe.

Parade Distance: 0.5 miles

Bicentennial Float Entry: #99

Bicentennial participant arrival instructions: Please arrive no later than 9:15 am and meet at the corner of Balboa and Columbus Dr. Chicago, Il. The Bicentennial Float must be in the staging area with all riders seated before 9:45 am. All riders not seated by 9:45 am will not be seated on the parade float.  The parade will not step off until 12:00 pm.

Float seating is limited to 15 riders but others are encouraged to walk alongside the float.
